PoE Security Camera Installation Guide: REOLINK Duo 3 Setup

What You Need

• REOLINK Duo 3 PoE camera (included)
• PoE switch or PoE injector (not included)
• Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable
• Drill with 3/16" bit (for wall anchors)
• Smartphone (for app setup)

Step 1: Plan Your Mounting Location

Mount the camera 8-12 feet high for optimal coverage. The 180° view covers a wide area, so center it on the area you want to monitor (e.g., driveway entrance).

Step 2: Mount the Bracket

1. Hold the mounting bracket against the wall.
2. Mark screw holes with a pencil.
3. Drill pilot holes and insert wall anchors.
4. Screw the bracket to the wall.

Step 3: Run Ethernet Cable

Run a Cat5e/Cat6 cable from the camera location to your PoE switch or injector. Use weatherproof cable if exposed outdoors. Maximum cable length: 100 meters (328 feet).

Step 4: Connect Camera

Plug the Ethernet cable into the camera's waterproof port. Secure the weatherproof cap to prevent moisture ingress.

Step 5: Connect to PoE Switch

Plug the other end of the cable into your PoE switch or injector. The camera will power on automatically.

Step 6: Set Up via Reolink App

1. Download Reolink app (iOS/Android).
2. Tap "Add Device" and scan the QR code on the camera.
3. Follow on-screen instructions to connect to your network.
4. Adjust the camera angle for the best 180° view.

Troubleshooting

Camera not powering on

Check PoE switch/ injector is powered and the cable is properly connected.

No image in app

Ensure network connectivity and firewall settings.
